    starting next Friday (Sept. 3)
NFL network will be airing a new series "Top 100: NFL Greatest Players"

Greatest player ever, regardless of position.

anybody wanna start guessing who will be #1?

It's too soon to say Tim Tebow. Maybe Barry Sanders or Joe Montanna.

This. It has been said a million times.

#2 will probably be Walter Payton
    #3 Johnny Unitas
    #4 Barry Sanders
#5 Emmitt Smith or Jerry Rice

My vote would be for either Jim Brown, Barry Sanders, or Walter Payton.

Not number one, but LT will be up there. I'll bet Dick Butkus is also as well as Jack Lambert. I like linebackers! I hope Y A Title and Jim Taylor make the list. What about Bert Jones?

    I don't think there is a question.

It has to be Jerry Rice.

He did it with both the sterling numbers and the longevity. Some do one or the other, he hit it way out the park on both accounts.
