I went down for the UF game, and arrived at about 4pm. Granted, there was traffic out the wazoo...but parking wasn't terrible. I parked on Nicholson...and just WALKED about 3/4 mile to the stadium. I did it with a 2 1/2 year old and a 5 year old...so you should be able to make it. Just get there early enough to let them take breaks in the median on Nicholson.

I live 10 miles south of Hattiesburg, and it's about a 2 1/2 hr drive in normal conditions. Post game conditions? I give it no more than 3 hours...and I don't speed. ((10 cylinder gas engine helps me not be so lead footed!) You should be in Hattiesburg by about 230 am. You might be better served to stop in Slidell...it will only add about an hour to your trip home Sunday.

I agree that you should try to make it early. As long as you're hospitable, you should not have to purchase ANY food or drinks...as tailgaiters would love to feed you and share the experience with you. Get there in time to check out Mike VI, and then set up for the band to come down the hill and go into the stadium. When I was there for the UF game...that's the ONLY reason I went down. I didn't even have tickets! I just wanted to show my boys a good time...and they absolutely LOVED it. When you set up for the band coming down the hill...make sure you're approx. right across from Mike's habitat. Get in front of the horns section so you can really FEEL the sound off! God, it gives me chill bumps talking about it!!!!!!!!

Anyway, have a great time...and good luck the rest of the season...after Saturday night!:thumb:

    Hello All,

I also will be visiting LSU. But this will be my third trip as an Auburn fan. I must say the hospitality has always been great, and expect nothing less this year.

Question: We have put together a last minute RV trip for this years game. However, I see that "RV parking passes" are required for many lots. Can any LSU fan tell me a good place to park without an RV pass? Also, is there any area that tends to be the visitor RV area?

Thanks so much for your honest help.

Can't help much with RV's. But I know there is information at www.lsusports.com.

Thanks for all the feedback and tips. Yes, I have cancelled our reservation in Hattiesburg and made one in Hammond. With the family in th car I just don't want to try to make that jaunt back to MS that late.

I am really excited about the game. I expect two teams at their absolute best. If my daughter did not have a school function Friday night we would be coming down early.

I must say, this will probably be one of the top 2-3 venues for a college football fan to go to. I am pumped up and ready to go.

Do the LSU players have a pregame "walk" or entrance to the stadium for the fans?

Victory Hill between Tiger Stadium and the PMAC (B-Ball arena). Next to Mike the Tigers home. Players walk down the hill 3 hours before kickoff and the band follows about an hour after that.

You are in for a treat.

Before the game, both the Tiger team, and an hour later, the Tiger Band walk down the hill from the indian mounds to the stadium, past Mike's cage and the Maravich center. It's worth braving the huge crowd to see Tiger Band come down and play the pre-game salute and Hey Fightin' Tigers.

Hi LSU Tiger Fans, another Auburn guy here. I have been a registered guest of the board for a about a year (since the last Auburn-LSU game), but don't post very often.

Good to see some friendliness between the two fan-bases. I'm looking forward to a good game. I won't get to go this year, but I just won a bet with a friend and the prize is a pair of tickets to the Auburn game of my choice for the 2008 or 2009 season. I think I'm going to use it on Death Valley 2009. That is two years away but I am already looking forward to the experience. Heard great things about Saturday Night in Baton Rouge.

As for this week, I'm hoping for another hard-fought, exciting game. Hopefully this year we can break that home field advantage streak, but I know it is going to be tough. LSU looks really good this year.

    War Eagle!
