Halo rule eliminated

    I think it should be up to the returner to decide if he's in danger of being hit and call a fair catch. That's what the fair catch is for. If he decides to return the ball, then he may very well be tackled hard and quickly.

    Letting the referee decide if the punter is in danger (halo rule) seems too subjective and leads to bad calls in either direction. With no halo rule it is a simple matter of insuring that the tackle comes after the catch.

    I like the idea of calling # of the player that commits a penalty. I nver have like having a penalty called on a team. Except Auburn.
