Spin it like you want, but Pessimistorue will be incapable of looking ahead in a positive way. It may turn out to be a pivotal turning point in LSU basketball, but at this juncture, there is no way you can spin that positively. It can only be negative.

Hickey was on a short leash this offseason and wasn't living up to the criteria set for him. Young man just could toe the line. Glad coach puts the program first when making hard decisions.

grey may be an upgrade but he's coming whether hickey is there or not. hickey was a damn good player and the team will be worse without him.

    Agreed.

Disagree. Not when he can't stay out of the coach's doghouse. He becomes a distraction.

And he forced a lot of shots especially way early in the shot clock. Hopefully now that wont be an issue. Also his defense left a lot to be desired.

But you can bet your sweet arse that all the Pumpers and blind LSU program defenders will try. JJ was a good ole boy hire and is marginally an improvement over TJ. Not was LSU needs to elevate the program up to where we all want it to be. He's not a strong enough X/0 or game management coach nor are any of his assistants. ALL just recruiters. Will only be a matter of time before the plug is plugged and we'll be looking for yet another BB coach. Problem is, I have no confidence that the current AD can or will get the right coach in here. Might be time for all the LSU Power Brokers to step in on this one to get it turned around after the JJ experiment hits the point of negative no return.

BTW, where's my Avatar? It's still not showing up.

Yeah, I read someone say that they thought it was peculiar that these 3 were listed as not returning around the time of finals. Grades maybe? idk

Mascona said he confirmed that Hickey was kicked off team and was offered a chance to finish his degree on scholarship.

That would also describe Dale Brown, but it didn't keep him from finding success at LSU.
