ughhh...listening to 1210 at work and hearing that denham broadcast with his voice drives me insane. thank goodness i dont follow ds or id have to just attend the games instead. jon actually had a decent calling base, as many of you noted, you can still be bad and get LSU faithful calling. Yet, degrade them continuously along with LSU and you learn quickly or die denying it. he's dying a slow death and is still in denial that he hasn't offended anyone or at least the fanbase has overreacted. the callers were loyal and some of the more intelligent LSU fans for the most part yet he still refuses to accept he ruined it all. i'm going to get me a show soon. I may let TE cohost sometimes.
sucks. bottom line. His show has to be rated worst in town....my personal top 5.. 5.Jon Fine and whatever host he runs off after a month 4.Jimmy Ott. To much Bookie Talk. And Steinle just has quite the aggrevating voice. Almost unbearable. His boy rosco sounds liek a midget. 3.Richard Condon. Great interviewer 2.Total Sports Radio. I listen to hear what they will say next. They are funny. But not haha funny. Pretty sorry actually. But I'll give it to them, it takes a man with some brass(andrews) to let a kid make him look bad. But he does. Poor Andrews. Kid is bottom of the barell, so that makes Andrews below that. If Iwant to hear a punk kid give me his opinion on sports I'll go to a local high school. 1. Buddy Songy. This is the default choice b/c basically its the most reliable tiger source. He gets the best guys on his show who know LSU. Mike Scarborugh ect. He may be a homer, and I dont like homers, but atleast I get my fill and he seems pleasant on air. honorable mention...Ed Buggs, if I want news talk, I go to ED I think he's the man.
actually condon gets the best people and does the best interviews, imo, even though he is probably the least knowledgeable of all but puts in the greatest effort by far. I like buddy too, even though hes a definite homer, he understands what pays the bills and what most want to hear. I like Ott because he covers the NFL and MLB and a lot of different angles that most locals don't do at all. blake and scrappy, well, their angle to be outside the box talking hornets everyday was the worst idea for this market. nor do i care about the riverbats or any other crap teams. I mean, no one hardly cares about the NBA here, relatively speaking, much less to call in and talk about it. The hockey talk was of course, force fed as well and an even worse idea. jon fine? yawn. wake me when colin cowherd comes on. plus jf ruins mike and mike's show which is on before it by taking them off for him. whats that show with gabe northern? i forgot.
well my thing about Blake and Scrappy (I'm guessin scotts son?) is that I dont mind a lil different mix in there. I have noticed they do talk about LSU a lot but they do talk hornets and other things. Saying they talk about Riverbats and hockey and all that is kinda out there. But they do cover a lot about LSU. I hate to say this, but the kid on there does impress me sometimes. I do hate to say that. But for only 17 or 18 or however old he is, he's not bad. I dont recall his name but I'm guessin its Innis of somesort. Sounds to me that also he's starting to conceed a bit to demand and be more fair to LSU and fans which is nice. Blake, although a nice guy, is just not cut out for it. Jon Fine is hopeless. Arrogant and a prick. Met him once. Not pleasant. He looks like a mix of Danny Devito and Napoloean. Condon does not know a lot, but hes good for a laugh. I do love Buddy. It's funny how all his commercials are so sexual. But its not bad enough to get the FCC on him. But they do have a bit of a 70's porno flair.lol...But I love the guy. I'll take his spicyness over any other show any day of the week. Ohh and I thought gabe northern was the morning show guy too?
Glad to hear it I like him. Plus I loathe Jim Hawthorne. Getting paid to (mis)call LSU games, and the fact that he got an NCAA championship ring just irks me. Who could forget the bue grass miracle call from him :dis: ....
you can figure that **** out just from watching the replays on the Pelican at night. Dude carries around about 350-400 easy. They needs to stop giving him free Popeyes at his place of work (Team Toyota). I always enjoy listening to the usual round of callers on Thursday afternoons to give their NFL picks. Montana needs to give up his maaaaaaan that's ridiiiiiiculous gangsta slow talk schtick.
lol no hes very short. he's a lot smaller than that, not even close to 300. anyhow, I dont have cable so i forgot about it being broadcasted. I think that's how montana speaks. Hell, he admits to waking up just in time to get in.
