Given the circumstances that some have had to overcome this past year, and the realization that many are not fortunate enough to still be with us, I believe that we should be humbled at this opportunity to express our thanks. The camaraderie that we have been privileged to share is a testament to knowledge that no matter how diverse we are as a group, we can come together through good times and bad, because we are like this holiday, we are uniquely American. As you celebrate and reminiscence this past year, give thanks; then glance around to find someone less fortunate. Make sure they have a reason to give thanks. With the season of giving approaching, and the biggest shopping day of the year on the morrow, many opportunities to share will exist. Your local food banks and my personal favorite, the Marine Corps Reserve's "Toys For Tots" are two wonderful opportunities. As for myself, I have been blessed with the opportunity to know you all; take care and have a wonderful day.
