Hard to believe...

I has a Neilson box hooked up to my TV years ago when I first got cable. I was a chef in the restaurant business back then and hardly ever turned the TV and cable box on so they canceled it and took got their box. The guy that I talked to said I was one of their worse nightmares as it would hurt the general ratings and give to much credit to the Cox cable channel that my cable box always defaulted to every time you happened to turn the box off. :shock:

 

I thought the USC/VA Tech game would pull in the highest ratings.....being the 1st game and all.

I think everyone in the country just wanted to see some football

 

USC/Va. Tech was on ABC, not cable.

 

The first time I saw that avatar, I cracked up. That SNL skit was one of the funniest. It's even funnier that Jimmy Fallon was having such a hard time keeping a straight face with how serious both Christopher Walken and Will Ferrell are taking it. I think Will's GUT just hanging out tops it off.

Its on Will Ferrell's SNL DVD. Guess what? I got a fever! And the only prescription...is more cowbell! Gotta geaux watch it now.

i thought USC-VT was on ESPN?? because one of my friends who doesnt' have cable couldn't watch it....and i dont' remember it being on ABC

 

It was on ABC.

 

it wasn't on ABC here in Ohio....must have been regional..

 

It was definitely on ESPN.

 

I've got your back on this, I remember it as being on ESPN as well.
