Has there been any real talk in BR about coaching changes?

from an article from the Baltimore Sun:

    Ravens QB Joe Flacco
    stunned by Cam Cameron's
    firing
    ...
“I was definitely stunned,” Flacco said
    ...
    Nearly every (Raven) player...admitted that
they were surprised that a team, which is
9-4 and has a two-game lead in the AFC
    North (fired their OC)...
“This is something that I think is a wake-up
    call for everybody,” Rice said.
    ...
With Cameron calling the plays since the
2009 season, the Ravens have done plenty
of winning. But the Ravens’ offensive
inconsistency this season, a lack of
significant progression from Flacco and a
propensity for Rice to get lost in the game
plan were among the factors (for Cam being fired)
    ...
    Flacco and Cameron
weren’t always on the same page. Just last
week, Flacco expressed frustration in an
interview with The Baltimore Sun that the
Ravens abandoned the no-huddle offense. However, he...said that a
perceived disconnect between the two was
    overblown by the media.
“Listen, Cam has done so much for my
career. He brought me here and trusted to
bring me here, first of all. He’s just helped
me every year I’ve been here...He’s been great for me,” said Flacco
    ...
Rice, who never publicly complained about
his number of carries even though he’s on
pace for his fewest touches since his second
season, also said that he did some self-
reflecting after hearing the Cameron news.
“I was looking back on two Pro Bowls in five
years. I was looking back on the amount of
receiving yards I have. I was looking back at
so many of the good things,” Rice said. “I
was able to start my career off with Cam
Cameron. Right now, we are at a point in our
season where we definitely have to focus a
lot more and execute. Cam called a great
game last week. Obviously, we didn’t win,
but he doesn’t put on the pads for us so we
    can’t be naïve about that.”
Several Ravens said that they don’t expect
to see many significant changes under
    Caldwell...

No doubt the oline is important, but I would rather have an average line with a great qb than vice-versa. And I think Dallas' line was good enough but Romo is just too hot & cold.
  3. TexasTigers Are You With Me ?

I could NOT disagree more. If you dominate the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball you can have an average QB and win. We proved that theory just in 2011. LSU had the worst QB in the history of LSU football and went 13-1.
Trent Dilfer won a superbowl. Because of line dominance and the ability to control the line of scrimmage and in turn the game.

Give me the best line in College football (See Bama) any day of the week.
  4. Which QB are you reffering too J. Lee or J. Jefferson?

Yeah but your comparing apples to oranges when you compare the NFL to College. NFL is more QB driven that the college game is, the college is very succesfull with gimmick offenses where that does not work in the NFL game. What he was talking about up there was the NFL....College a great o-line is more improtant than in the NFL, In the NFL a great QB with and average line will make you look good.

Matt Flynn set a bunch of records behind that line, then goes to Seattle and can't get on the field.

Are you kidding me? Go and look at where the packers O-line ranks in the NFL.

According to this Green bay ranks 31 out of 32 in pass protection.....and 25 out of 32 in run blocking.
