Has there been any real talk in BR about coaching changes?

  1. TexasTigers Are You With Me ?

Agreed living in Dallas for a long time having two failed Cowboys head coaches gains us nothing. If I had my choice we get some young hungry kid like Kingsbury type and have him bring in some new ideas and thoughts.
I am not asking for some sling it around west coast garbage I like the ability to control games with the run and dictate. BUT we need something different as our rivals have long since figured out how to stop what we have today.
This is the reason we have failed so miserably in 3 of the last 4 bowls. give anyone with a brain and video tape you can put together a pretty simple plan to stop and frustrate our offense.

I am not the "FIRE LES MILES" part because I saw how that worked for teams like Miami etc. But I concur the bowl game was the turning point for me. Something has to change.

Just keep em away from the kitchen knives... too soon?

All I know is I bet Ray Lewis would do it if it were for Miami. I think he would want to impact young men more than be a broadcaster, he just seems like that kind of guy to me.

    I think so too!

There's been no discussion that's pointed in the right area. Just as it has been said before, changing the offensive staff wouldn't amount to very much. No matter who the offensive coordinator may be, Les Miles will insist upon continuing his efforts to sharpen his fledgling offensive coaching skills.

Bash as you may, but it's worth taking note that the last effective quarterback was recruited by Nick Saban. I used "effective" because Les Miles doesn't offer the opportunity to really judge the worth of the QBs.

too few numbers to tell. so, what is it, 4 qbs recruited by clm have played? 2 got shell-shocked by being thrown to the wolves as Fr (and still turned out good.), one was a headcase, and one is still here.

I am starting to think that the old paradigm about playing as a freshman at a skill position is shifting. These days, the "growing season" better be spring practice and summer drills. I dont see very many QB's that suck as freshmen, totally turn it around by the time they leave. Instead, witness the number of freshmen QB's this year that were pretty good, with JM obviously being at the top. Oregon, and Okie State played a couple of really good young QB's also. If there is one area that Les Miles gets a HUGE F in player development it has to be QB.

    Prove Miles calls the plays.

I'd like to know why Miles let JR air it out, but "insist" on throwing poop at our current O.
