I read the whole article and have no idea why any university would feel the need to respond to inquiries by the BCA just like I don't understand why major corporations pay shakedown money to Jesse Jackson. SC never dreamed they could hire a coach of Spurriers caliber before now and he was the only choice. Universities responding to inquiries by the BCA gives credibility to an organization that deserves none as proven by their stand on SC's hiring of Visor Boy.

I can't seem to find the address for the WHITE PLAYERS ASSOCIATI0N. It's got to be someplace. That ratio race problem HAS to go.

i cant imagine why sc would respond to their inquiries or call them back, or why the bca thinks they deserve a callback or any attention whatsoever. why is the bca even slightly worth listening to? the whole premise of their existence is ridiculous.

    black 1-A players = 50% (roughly)

    black 1-A coaches = 0.02% (2 of 117)

Imagine the outrage if those numbers were for white players to coaches. Maybe then there would be a "White Coaches Association."

Let me guess, some of you are members of David Duke's NAAWP? Because there's a lot of his type of logic being spouted in this post. Sad.

If any group calls a school, and they don't even give the courtesy of returning the call, why would they not take it as a snub? They have every right to be angry. That's all I'm saying - not that they should have any kind of power in university's decision-making. If SC had called and explained the situation, no one would be talking about this now.

And maybe they are just extra touchy because of the SC flag. I personally can't blame an Afro-American group for being upset, though, just like I wouldn't blame a Jewish group for being upset about a Nazi flag.

What is the percentage of white players in the NBA? Is there a white players association? Is there a group lobbying the NBA to sign more white players? Teams want the best players and the best coaches available regardless of race and they don't need the BCA or any other organization to tell them who to hire. Maybe the BCA should buy a pro team and hire every black coach that they want. The BCA is a racist organization just like the KKK and has no right to make demands of anyone.

That's uncalled for. People get angry when the race card is whipped out every time one minority or another thinks they're getting the shaft. The BCA can express their disappointment at South Carolina's failure to check with them, but to call for boycotts is simply blackmail and that's what pisses people off. This thread is not about whether or not there should be more black coaches in the NCAA. It's about who the hell does the BCS think they are by demanding that a school run their coaching search through them. Quit trying to paint everyone with an opinion that doesn't coincide with the BCA's as racist.
