anyone who watched LSU in '99 knows what it looks like when a team quits on their coach.

lots of halfassing it, no emotion during games, losses didn't seem to matter, etc. etc.

this team bears NO resemblance to that.

If anything, I think the team feels they failed miles. WR dropped passes, the O-line practically crumbled, the defense didn't play like they normally do, no spectacular plays.

Nope .. I think your "source" is way off base. This team hasn't given up on Miles, .... they are likely feel they owe him an apology.

This team plays as hard as any LSU team I have ever seen.

From that perspective, I could not believe this rumor to have any legs whatsoever.

The only situation of concern is how Lee can't get on the field more with JJ holding our offense back so much (although after the Auburn game, maybe it really doesn't much matter).

I've heard this before. Turns out it was from a disgruntled player that got booted from the team a few weeks later.

I wouldn't put much stock into it. The players that I talk to seem to really like Miles.

A swing and a miss. I guess you just wanted in on the pile-on.

By the way, I'm not a Miles guy, but I believe these players love the man. I don't see a mutiny coming. If anything, I can see them taking one of these QBs to the woodshed if one of them single-handedly blows a hard fought game.

:geaux: Just a "shyt stirrer" post, nothing more. Can't see where this has any legs with a 7 - 1 team. Notice he hasn't posted since he put this up. Prolly just sittin' back watchin' to see what happens. Not surprising since I've never seen this guy post anything remotely positive. :rolleye33: :LSU231:
