It's really simple. The media loves Auburn because Chizik wasn't a total failure and had his team playing reasonably well. As others have pointed out they're at least a year away from serious contention, and this year's team has a lot of question marks. The media is also in love with Mallett's Heisman hype, and overlooking a sub-par defense. Bama needs no explanation, though even a quick look at the talent they lost indicate that they won't be reloading this year. It's all about hype and last year's storylines.

The solution is also real simple. If our boys and the coaches don't like the press, beat the competition and prove the media wrong.

Name a contributer under Nick Saban at LSU that played on the '07 BCSNC team. Also, please show me the falloff in recruiting under Miles. Also, what is Les Miles record against Sunbelt teams, vs Nick Saban's.

Also, I forgot to mention Bob Stoops. Is he a terrible coach too? I mean, what happened with OU last season...and every bowl game they play in?? Is he a big loser too? He's a million dollar man. Where are the calls for his head on a platter from OU fans? But again, USC under Pete Carroll takes the cake. Losing to 3rd rate teams year in and year out. Everyone that bashes LSU/Miles likes to say "with all that talent"...but LSUs talent level has never been that of USCs, and all Pete could manage was one :crystal: all that time? With all those Heismans, all those NFL players on his rosters? With all the money changing hands? The free houses?
