Look at Jason White... he won the heisman last year, might win it again this year. Will he do good at the professional level? I think we all know that White will not be a good NFL QB. It doesn't matter what they think you can do at the next level - it's about how you perform at this level. A lot of these guys that are winning it (Jason White) are surrounded by amazing athletes that can make things happen for them while the people who are close to winning it are amazing but not surrounded by the same type of athletes.. JMO.
that is exactly right. the trophy is given to the best player on the best team nowadays. even though its supposed to be given to the best player in the country. like the MVP award, it si supposed to go to the player who is of the single most value to his team. last year is a perfect example. OU wasnt really good b/c of white, they were a great team. w/o him, they probably still do really well. but look at ole miss and miami, OH. you really think anybody took them seriously w/o eli & ben? nope.
