    no, at the time i was not thrilled that the coach who was one year removed from winning the only NC in my lifetime was leaving.

    i think saban is a tireless worker and recruiter and would have had the same success that miles has had here.

    that said, in 2007 there were calls made and games won that saban never would have won imo. but roughly the same level of success.

    Perhaps, but I don't think Saban would've handled the stress of Katrina very well at all--what with the disruption that it caused for the football team.

    Are you kidding? He had to deal with losing to UL-Monroe at Bama. That's worse than any natural disaster. :grin:

    Be fair, now, he compared that to Pearl Harbor and 9/11--unnatural disasters.
