just like the media, fans are fickle and base everything they know on the last game. partly why vegas exists.
Hey Suncoasttiger, If the other defenses can't stop Charles Scott, our pass D issues won't matter much. And our D problems seem to happen because there are very few blitz packages being called. I don't know why, but they better bring more pressure or we will see Harvin catching that crossing route over the middle 20 times. And yeah, Florida'a pass D did look top notch in THE SWAMP yesterday didn't it? Especially on that 85-yard TD pass near the end of the game. Georgia's looked great as well as they dug a nice 0-31 hole at half. Have you even seen Texas yet? Has anyone? Who the hell have they played worth anything? And Missouri does have a very good offense, but Buffalo was going round for round with them for a while on passing TDs. And no, I don't think Missouri would stop Charles Scott.
Yes, I am serious. Our pass defense was horrible and we were playing a player making his first start. He was able to find open WRs, he was able to get out of the pocket and make plays, he was able to find backs open all night long. Football isn't about how UF did vs Ole Miss. Its about how they match up with us. And while I don't like UFs OL or DL, I think they might have a big day throwing the ball if we don't make defensive adjustments.
The Big 12 teams would certainly exploit our pass coverage. Its non existant. I am actually more worried about what the SEC opponents will do to us. If we don't get this fixed, it could get ugly. Maybe not with UF, because they don't run the ball well. But Bama will line up with those massive Olineman and run right at us, play action, and find open guys all night long. Danny McCray is going to have a terrible night if he doesn't improve...and fast.
Yes, me too, Nootch. I am so glad you get it. And I know you get it because StaceyO says so. No reason, no facts to back it up. You just get it. Thats awesome.
Right. What was I thinking? Our Pass D was great against that kid, whatshisname from MSU. I mean, this kid has lit up defenses all around the country. It not realistic to think we might be able to stop him. For us to merely contain him has to bee seen as a victory. Yeah, Ok. Fickle me, fickle me.
