A lot is discussed and some are encouraged to say things in producers meetings before the show.

They're gonna put him in the movies
They're gonna make a big star out of him
We'll make a film about a man that's slow and dim
And all he's got to do is act naturally

Naw, man. It wasn't simply the pick. It was the condescending tone with which he made the pick, as though LSU didn't even belong on the same field as Michigan.

That's unforgivable. But, in reality, what does that mean coming from someone like me who watches from a living room? Not much, granted.

I'm sure Herbie isn't losing a wink over my opinion. :eek:ldskule:

I used to like him and I agreed with him on a lot of things and I still do but it has been obvious he has dissed us at times when it was not deserving but I guess he isn't the only one.

What is it about us that they don't like? We have to beat good team after good team before we get respect when other just plow through cupcakes and they walk on water. I think it is an SEC thing unless your Alabama.

I can handle the truth if we are not that good I will be the first to say so but it pisses me off when it's not justified.

In most of the national media's eyes, LSU is not a traditional power. Just listen to the Big and Rich intro to College Game Day. Which teams are mentioned? In order:

Oklahoma, Alabama (Auburn implied/pictured), Georgia, Florida (Florida St.and Miami implied/pictured), Ohio State, Notre Dame, Southern Cal, Michigan, Texas, Tennessee.

We're not in that category. Until we dominate year after year, starting this year. Let's make 'em rewrite that f***ing song! :po:

Wishful thinking on your part. The Tigers own the West and the winner of the LSU-Auburn game will represent the West for a long time to come. Bama reminds me of the Yankees. Steinbrenner can spend all the money in the world but can't win an AL penant let alone the world series. Same applies to bama and St. Nick.

I've seen nothing but respect from the media for LSU over the last couple of years. Not every single analyst will pick us to win every game, but we get our respect.

Huh? Unless you're talking Bear Bryant years, I don't see Bama getting any special treatment these days.

Yep, Bama has gotten hardly any special treatment, and certainly no respect in pre-season polls.

Auburn fans are delusional after a couple decent seasons with Tubberville on top of Bama's probation.

The recruits that settled for Auburn in recent years will start coming back to Bama.
