I know you guys don't see much of Colt Brennan, and I agreed UH plays questionable opposition, but he's the real deal at QB and the scouts see it, even if Herbstreit doesn't.

I wouldn't argue Dorsey though ... at least not here.

Herby doesnt see a lot of things clearly. Its kind of funny to see him jumping on the SEC bandwagon this year.

You can throw Mario Manningham in there as well. He is a highlight reel and will be a top 4 WR in next year's draft.

I beat down a dude in halo last night named BrennanforHeisman.

Sorry, but I'm going to wonder what Lex Luthor is up to bringing Bizzaro Herbstreit in here saying that LSU HAS THE BEST OVERALL PLAYER IN COLLEGIATE FOOTBALL. Does that sound so very wrong to anyone else? I mean, it's just not natural! I want to strongly dislike Herbie (don't hate anyone- if Jesus said it was cool to, Herbie would be at the top of the list) but I can't now because he just basically paid us a... I can't believe it... a compliment.

He's been humbled after the beatings OSU and the big ten took last year. I kind of like the new Herbie, he seems to be givin LSU much more props now. It seems him always talkin about how Flynn will be a great replacement for JR and abot Dorsey.

There's no question that the BCS NCG humbled his Big-10 homerism. Did you see him after the game? He was outright remorseful for not giving the SEC enough credit and giving the Big-10 too much credit. He seemed disheartened and confused. The game shook his very foundation, and I suspect he's spent the past few months coming to terms with his fundamentally flawed view of CFB.

It is a new Herbie, indeed. But that doesn't make him any less of a d-bag.:thumb:

Though I happen to agree with him on this one, Herbie pimpin us means nothing to me after what I saw last year. He obviously doesn't always see the "Big picture" and has a different flavor every three weeks, with his "Usuals" staying at the top and mixing in one of two others.

I'm glad DownOnTheBayou hasn't seen this thread......just a mention of Herbie's name makes him ballistic. :hihi:

All these guys are pretty wishy-washy and feckless, but anyone who can't see the excellence in the SEC is either a numbskull or is blinded by their own personal agenda and bias. IMO, that "Herby" is on the SEC bandwagon probably says less about him than if he wasn't! He certainly will get no special props from me for seeing what anybody should.

As far as the PAC-10 goes, I personally like the fact that the it normally gets dissed ... it just makes the "upsets" in our OCC play all the sweeter.

There are a couple of "corkers" this year lined up, with Tennessee at Cal (?), tOSU at Washington (tOSU - but not the blowout everyone expects), USC @ Nebraska (USC), Oregon at UM (? - edge to UM at home, but UO may surprise). Wash. State at Auburn should see AU win that one handily and I certainly don't expect Arizona to be but a small bump in the road to New Orleans for LSU.
