Arkansas very well might be ranked when we play them. Miss. St might be there also by the end of the season.

It's just something I was looking at... but it's hard to pass up.

More than likely we'll finish with 9 ranked (or once ranked) opponents -- provided we win out, win the SEC, and play in the NC game. I'd be ecstatic if we ended up with 10 ranked teams on our schedule. Has that ever happened before?

I have to agree. This schedule, which seemed very doable before the season started, now seems like a killer. What a tough stretch of games we have been through. I am tired. :eek:ldskule:

Some of those guys have votes and oh by the way are probably influencing voters with their thoughts on the show.

I have a hard time arguing with Oregon as #2 except that we have beaten 5 top 18 teams. That's impressive no matter how close the games are.

Herbstreit is all over the map with was spews out of his mouth. He has LSU as #2 and Oregon as #3 in his own personal poll.

6 games against ranked opponents. 5-1 in those games. No doubt about it.

Is this the same Herbstreit that lobbied for LSU getting the bump for #1 over an undefeated SC? Hardly the words of someone who hates LSU.

Oregon blew out the #6 ranked team. LSU struggled with the #17 ranked team. I think he has at the very least a legitimate argument, even if I do not agree with it. Try not to be such a homer. Oregon would be the best matchup for LSU by far and I'm personally pulling for a matchup between the two.

Not sure about the blowout part. Even with over 3 minutes to go, ASU was inside the 30 of Oregon looking to make it 35-30.

Talk about shooting yourselves in the foot, ASU blew this game for the most part. Oregon is a damn fine team, but LSU is definitely deserving of a #2 ranking.

OSU either loses to Illinois or Michigan, so LSU and Oregon is a real possibility. Would be fun to watch. The type of team that would give us fits.

We would absolutely murder OSU, however.

if you think of it as LSU vs Oregon I don't think you can say oregon would for sure defeat us and is thus a better team and should be moved ahead. We go toe to toe with oregon just like we have every team.

i remember OSU a few years ago winning sloppy every game thinking to myself that they can never win the NC and will eventually lose, but nope they keep just winning and won it all.

ASU was way overrated and won't finish the team that highly. They've had an easy schedule so far, where they were beating teams like San Jose State and San Diego State. Its only now did their schedule get more difficult. Last week, they beat a Cal in tailspin, which lost 3 straight games. This week, they played Oregon. And, then, ASU still needs to play SC.

But, the Oregon victory that was really impressive was the way they totally took apart Michigan. Yes, Michigan lost to Appalachia State but that was like a fluke which came down to a final play. But, since then, Michigan has won all its games and will probably finish as the best or second best team in its conference.
