That state isn't short on talent, they just don't lock em in. Mississippi spent several consecutive years with the most NFL players per capita. They have the players, just not the programs.
Too many schools to split talent...USM is probably the best right now. Plus, some AA players actually prefer to play for JSU, MSVS, ALCORN, ETC....Nutt's recruiting wasn't that bad. But if they can't qualify, you have done yourself no good.
