I was just giving you a hard time man... lol They are all just drinking the Utah, Urban Meyer punch... Urban Meyer will soon learn that in the SEC, you don't play inferior teams every week... I hope you guys kick the crap out of Florida
IMO, UT is not just over-rated but grossly over-rated. Their pass secondary was a joke last year. Dead last by 10 yards to Vandy. No wonder Vandy and UK almost beat them. Hell, Holtz's team threw for a lot of yards against them. I have heard UT's statements about their poor DL play thus the secondary got the brunt of it....well, that sucks then. UT won the East with it but won't do it again unless its vastly improved. Not sold on Ainge at all and Clausen...just isnt an SEC starter. I have UT as a 8-3 team
Our D-backs will be vastly improved this season. I guarantee it. I won't deny it sucked last season, I am still embarassed about our games against Vandy and Kentucky. The D-line play will help as well. I would be willing to be money on Jessee Mahelona and Parys Haralson both earning all-American honors next season. The pass rush will help; Not to mention QB play is down in the SEC this season. If you aren't sold on Ainge, look what a freakin' 18-year old kid from Oregon did the highly-touted pass defenses of the SEC. Except for the game against Auburn, anyhow.
He did have great games. But he is also a true sophmore that hasn't complete 1 full season. Some are making him out to be god. He isn't and will struggle.
I know... I don't make him out to be god. I know he still makes mistakes. But he's been training with Peyton, and I've heard through the grapevine that Cutcliffe in his time off has been helping the UT coaching staff. We will see how he does.
UNLV: 10-17 2TD 0 INT Florida: 16-24: 3 TD 1 INT La Tech: 10-15: 3 TD 0 INT Auburn: 17-35: 1 TD 4 INT UGA: 12-21: 2 TD 0 INT Ole Miss: 14-30: 1 TD 1 INT Bama: 10-22: 1 TD 2 INT South Carolina: 9-16: 3 TD 1 INT ND: 11-18: 1 TD 0 INT So that is 78-148 for 52% and 11 TDs and 9 INTS in the SEC that isnt THAT great... but good for a freshman
