Sad, Lou actually believes want he says. That is because he thinks everything is just like it was in his day. Like others before him he just can't see things have changed.

I don't know how they let Holtz on the air or how he gets around by himself. He is one of those old people who is on the verge of losing their sanity. Everytime he says anything, the other broadcasters look at him like his is a retard. I can actually see him spit on my hd tv. I hope they replace him soon.

Everyone knows how lead paint leads to serious mental health issues. Somebody help ol' Lou out. Go to his house and remove all those Mattel toys. I think I saw him with a Hot Wheels car or two prior to doing that college preview show they did on ESPN. But ESPN wants to keep him on its good for ratings. He's today's Trev Alberts. They know how passionate Tiger fan base is. So any time they can take a jab at us even by resorting to nonsense they know that they will get a rise out of us. He still thinks ND is in the title hunt and he will pick South Carolina to upset LSU. Guarenteed.

Holtz always had that lisp but his altzheimers seems to exagerate it lately.
His speech seems more slowed and slurred lately.

For the love of humanity ESPN needs to take Holtz off the air

That man is too old to be on TV. Everytime I see him I'm scared I might see someone die live on the air.

It is true about the Lou comments about the UM-App St game. He and Mark May were arguing about this game when it was in the 4th qtr.

May- he pretty much said that this was a huge upset and that Carr didn't have his players ready to play. That App St was beating them in areas where UM should've been dominating them. That UM's defense has troubles and no matter what you say, UM is ranked Top 5 and should easily beat a 1-AA team.

Holtz- was arguing it's not the coach that can be blamed but the players also. It is the player on the field making plays. (He has a point but the coach has to have the players ready to play and a game plan). Holtz never admitted that UM should've easily won the game and shouldn't struggle. He kept going on about how the App St was champion and had talent.

Mark May kept saying that yes they are champs but a 1-AA champ and they don't have the talent of UM.

It was very painful to see Holt keeping arguing his point.

How the heck was Holtz such a successfull coach? He actually had a lot of success at Ark, Minn, ND (MNC), and SC.

I wonder if it's just an act to get ratings, he can't be that stupid.

At his age, Holtz has no pressure to possibly be in a position to re-enter the D1 college coaching ranks.

I just don't think that he cares about being realistic. His love affair with Notre Dame is based on all emotion.

The ONLY thing that Holtz said about the App. State / Michigan game that made sense was that App. State has the mindset of a winning team and knows how to win.

Yeah, I wasn't surprised when Holtz declared that this years Notre Dame team was going to win 10 games. The look on Mark May's face was priceless.

I don't care who they put on the TV, but I would prefer a person who isn't crumbling away in front of our eyes and has a terrible lisp. I never thought ESPN could find anyone that could make me miss Trev Alberts.
