Let's not kid ourselves. Despite only being in a mid-major, Meyer did completely embarass 2 BCS teams last year (ATM and PITT). I don't expect him to have Utah-like dominance in the SEC, but he will be a force to be reckoned with. I'm also curious to what we'd be saying had LSU hired him and UF got Miles.
We would be hailing Myer as god and snicker at the Miles hire and predict the iminent doom of UF football. What else?
Every last one of us would be soaking up every bit of media love we'd be getting, but since it's not us, some seem to be a bit jealous.
I'm not so sure about that one. I didn't start hearing about Meyer or even know who he was until his success in recent years, but that's just me.
I agree with that, but I like our team not having the pressure that USC must face. If they lose one game, it's a catastrophe. They've been placed in the Rose Bowl by every single forecaster. No one else is even considered to have a crack at #1 before January 5th, 2006. Anything but 13-0 and a (second straight) National Championship will be considered a miserable flop. They can have it...and, I'll step on the back of their head while they are face down in the mud.
