True, but recent history has shown that the HOME team usually wins this game, not the better team. Both teams have been very even the last 6 years.

Last year Arkansas spanked Auburn, on the road I might add, this year it will be a home game for Arkansas. Let's consider the factors:
    1. Auburn not as good as last year,
    2. Arkansas is just as good or better than last year
    3. Auburn has road games at Arkansas then at LSU, back to back
    4. Arkansas has a cupcake UT-Chat game before playing auburn, then plays Ole Miss the week after.
    5. Arkansas's two hardest games before playing Auburn in game 6 are: Alabama and Kentucky. So Arkansas will momentum with a 4-1 or maybe even 5-0 record.

My point: Neither team will beat LSU this year. But Arkansas will finish 2nd in the west behind LSU, not Auburn!

O, one more thing, Auburn road games this year are:

    at Florida
    at Arkansas
    at LSU
    at Georgia

Yes Auburn is a good team, but....well I think yall figured it out by now

Whoa, maybe not. Arkansas had quite a few guys drafted, and their OLine took some serious hits. They still have 2 great RBs, but a weak OLine will hinder them some.

I dont think Auburn or Alabama will be close to LSU.

Auburn goes to Florida, Georgia, Arkansas, and LSU. They will be underdogs in at least 3 out of 4.
Bama has an easier away schedule but still has Tennessee, Georgia, and Vandy in the East.

No way we don't win the West.

Also, I think too many people ares till on the Arkansas bandwagon after last year. They lost a lot of key people most dont know about because the only names that came out of announcers mouths were McFaddensballsinmymouth or Wildcat formation.

LSU is clearly better than all the other SECW teams. Auburn will be worse than last year and will struggle to win 8. Arkansas has 2 players in McFadden and Jones who, if healthy - can carry the entire team (unless Nutt finds a way to screw it up). Saban, despite all the criticism on this board, is a good coach and Bama will challenge most of their opponents this year. The MS teams will occupy the cellar (again). Pre-season ranking would be:

    LSU
    Ark
    Bama
    Auburn
    Ole Miss
Miss State (with Croom being fired before the last game in November).

Wow the Bulldogs have gotten no respect.

I think they are better than people think.

I was at the 1998 SEC Title game; wow that was a long time ago... MSU almost beat UT.

Lost in the final minutes of the 4th quarter. That was by far MSU's best year.

I think you're right on about your picks, though some (like Phil Steele) were all over Arky out of the gate (he had them #1 in the West).

Can't see Arky lower than 3-4 with McFadden still in the game.
