"In his first full recruiting season at LSU, Jones has secured three ESPN 100 commitments. The LSU graduate and former North Texas head coach now owns commitments from the top player in his state and ventured into Texas and Georgia for his other pledges."

    Interview after the commitment
Said there was no 2nd place LSU all the way!
Also said him and Mickey hung out a lot at some of the camps

Jordan Mickey was ruled ineligible to play his Sr season of high school basketball...Apparently Dion Sanders started a charter school and plucked a few of the top notch bball players from the DFW area to come to his school to play...Among those were the coach and 3 players from Ft Worth Grace Prep one of those being Mickey...

Lee College has had 7 games..4 exhibition and 3 regular season games...The only thing I can tell you is they are 3-0...Tried different angles to find out info on Deng Deng but could find none...Altho Lee College is playing BRCC tonight so if anybody in the Baton Rouge area is going to the game feel free to pass on some info about our future Tiger!

"LSU Basketball has just received National Letter of Intent from Jarell Martin, Jordan Mickey and Tim Quarterman"

"LSU Basketball has also received the signed SEC agreement from John Odo. Scheduled to transfer to LSU in January (not play until fall 2013), he is eligible only to sign SEC aid agreement, not an NLI. Full recap of signees later at LSUsports.net.

Ive herd three rumors, from other message boards. None of this I can confirm so take it with a grain of salt. 1# Deng's first few games at Lee were not that impressive and the staff my let him stay at Lee for two years to let him develop. Now I did watch the first half of Lee vs. BRCC. I saw Deng hit a three (didnt look to be his strong point) and I saw a nice dunk. He ran that court like a dear, he's very long changed up a few shots. Didnt see one post move but the guards didnt really look for him down low. The guards didnt really look for him at all from what I saw, they ran and shoot. That being said if you put him in a more structured system, one that gets up and down the court like CJJ's system I can see him making an impact. I'm not saying he's going to the league but I dont think he will ride the pine.

2# The staff is waiting to see how he does academically and doesnt want a repeat of Calvin Godfrey.

3# CJJ has a real shot at getting Kevin Frazier(a 5 star shooter from Dallas) and my let Deng stay at Lee for 2 year to open up a spot. Supposedly CJJ coached Frazier Coached Fraziers older brother at UNT. I've researched UNT's roster all the way back to 2000-01 and found no players with the last name Frazier but of course who is to say Fraziers brother has the same last name. There are a lot of players from Dallas and Houston (it's said that Frazier moved to Houston and back to Dallas) but none that I can link to Frazier.

Again take it with a grain of salt. I hope he ends up in purple and gold, like I stated I think he will fit into CJJ's system and it will open up the pipeline to Australia..

Great update. Yes, for various reasons I'd love to see the staff hold on this one. Deng was someone we had committed before Mickey and Martin and they all play swing-power forward. Not sure Deng makes as much sense given Odoh, Martin, and Mickey. Also seems like O'Bryant may be more inclined to stay at LSU another year. Frazier would make LSU a top 3 class if he commits in the Spring. Now everything I've seen of him is he is a score first shooter... Hopefully CJJ knows something about the kid's character, which is the only question I'd have about him.
