This is part of certain LSU fans problem. Watch a game on Saturday night, then think LSU, a college team should play like the NFL teams do on Sunday. They are no able to separate the College game from the Pro game. I hope none of our College coaches are watching some 28-30 year old pass rush for a fricking living. Good God.
LSU's Defense wasnot on the fied long enough to get more than 1 sack. Our Offense was busy punching holes in Saban's swiss cheese defense, to the tune of 435 yards.
Not Not exactly a fair comparison. RGIII was a wounded deer, normally if you blitz him, he'll run for 25 yards.
If I recall correctly, the play that burned us vs. gumpville was in fact a blitz. Chavis' soft defense will work effectively if we make tackles. We didn't.
The problem, aside from poor tackling, was the blitz call after playing soft zone as they marched down the field. The blitz wasn't the problem because that had been done the whole second half and shut them down up until that point.
The duo didn't just screw the Alabama contest but went on to narrowly escape Ole Miss, barely defeat hapless Arkansas (aided by crybaby interum Ark Head Coach going for 3 points instead of the win for which he was roundly booed & later relieved of his command), THEN COMES CLEMSON who managed 600 total yards on LSU / 110 PLAYS / a victory
