    Cool.

I have no problem with a team winning the W with that number of wins...think it'll be a bit higher, but not by much.

A good season in my eyes would be take the games at home, and see if can be .250 or better on the road...taking .500 on the road would almost be a shoe-in for contention to be the SEC regular season Champ.

Ackkk, I agree with you. As much as I hate Alabama, that call did not cost Georgia the game. Blowing a huge lead with less than 3 minutes to go was a bigger factor.

Was it a bad call? Yes. Was it at a critical juncture in the game? Yes.

But there were dozens of other possessions that affected the game just as much.

no terry. when the pivot foot is lifted, since the other foot is down it becomes the pivot foot. switching the pivot foot is travelling.

I need clarification here because the way terry describes it is the way I have always heard traveling described and makes sense. However, if we go by your logic, how could anyone do a layup. Think about it, you dribble, as the dribble comes up your right foot is on the ground and your left foot is coming down. That makes your right foot the pivot foot. Then you put your left foot down, pick up your right foot, and then jump off the left. You would be picking up your pivot foot in this situation. I didn't think picking up your pivot foot is a travel but putting it down is.

There's no traveling in football, that's why I like it better.

A lay up is a continuous motion towards the basket- You can take two steps with the ball and shoot/pass it.

The "Pivot foot" comes in to play when you "Pick up" your dribble- stop. Unless it's different in college......you can't change the pivot foot and it must maintain contact with the floor.

lsutiga, that's the point. He picked up his pivot foot on the way to the basket...the pivot foot didn't touch the floor again until after the ball was released.

I'm pretty sure I'm right on this one...if I had the time I would look it up in the b-ball rules. If time permits, I will later on this evening.

I didn't see the game and wasn't speaking to the context of the call brought into question, only trying to explain what I believed to be the rule to mobius. :thumb:

Living room?? I'd have loved to see that! :thumb:

I wasn't talking about the call in the game though. What I said was actually refering to either shooting a layup or picking up a dribble and stopping. When Terry said something about picking it up to shoot, I thought he was right but I wasn't gettin involved.

Looking at that video... definitely a travel. A move like that done in a high school game (where they actually call travels) would be a travel every time.
