Take your girl to New Orleans Friday morning, French Quater,hit http://www.cafedumonde.com/ for Breakfast. Spend the day in the Quater, and party that night at Pat Obrien's. Get a hotel in Nawls for Friday and Sat night. Then Sat morning, drive down to Baton Rouge for the game, back to Nawls for a Sat night Party....drive home Sunday(hung over).
I don't remember a La Quinta there but a few years ago there was some crack/prostitutes running between the Motel 6/Holiday Inn at the same intersection. Haven't looked closely at those places lately but I wouldn't bet that anything has changed.
