That hit WAS in the first half, genius. And 10 points does not exactly indicate that the defense was "oh so porous." Perception is such a brutal animal.
IT WAS GREAT! Bwodie was not the same QB after that. Bruised ribs, I expect. Landry could have wrapped him up but when Croyle turned his back, Landry just pounded him. Very sweet.
That hit set the tempo for the second half. After driving down the field for the score and putting that hit on Croyle changed the game in LSU's favor. I don't know what our coaches said at half but I have never seen a LSU team come out in the second half and totally take control of another team. :geauxtige
What? That was in first half? What game were you watching? It came in 3rd Qtr, 9:19 left. Check it out here http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/playbyplay?gameId=253160333&quarter=3 And if you think 207 first half yards, missed field goals were not indicative of bad defense, then I don't have anything to say.
He even snuck in a little elbow shot to the ribs, instead of wrapping up. When I saw it live, I was a bit peeved he'd try to do that rather than wrap him up..but seeing the results, I will get over it heh. Can't try that vs. Shockley or Spurlock if we play them though imo.
According to the post game interviews, Jimbo spoke something to fire up the offense ,and Kyle Williams stepped up and spoke to the defense.:thumb: ________ Motorcycle Tires
That definately made me jump up and down a few times. Hell, i tivo'd that play fast fast fast. Croyle wasn't the same after that, i tell ya.
