I don't like Alleva either, but I think we just need to shake hands with Les and go our separate ways.

But Alleva is worse at Ad than Les us at QB development.
    AND he's slimy

The problem with that is Les is a rich man now. He wouldn't swallow his pride and accept a handout job. If he wants to coach again it won't be at a major power 5 university. He could take a lesser job somewhere just for the love of coaching and not have to deal with everything that you have to deal with at a place like LSU. I think he will take a year off because he wants to be able to watch his son Ben play his senior year at Catholic High. Maybe do some TV analysis and decide whether the wants to coach again.

Alleva has been a pretty damn good AD truth be told. But his lacrosse slime is unwashable. And hes at a much more thankless job than even les'. AD's job description is escape goat. lots of irrational hate goes his way.

If he pulls off this jimbo heist, he should be commended whether you like the choice or not, for being proactive. Much easier to not make a big move and sit on your hands.

Or be cheap like joe dean and let LSU settle. Thats what got us this irrational fear to begin with.

I'd love to see him get a good job and I'd love to see him wake the phuck up. But nothing short of getting fired was going to do it and there's no guarantee that will. I really do wish him well and it really is time for him to go. It would be freaking hilarious to see him running some spread 70 points a game offense. His heart would give out after a couple seasons, it would kill him.
