again, i should note that coed sports are really fun and i love them. but there are times when you are actually trying to play hard and beat your opponent and you dont need the distraction of women. i would never bother playing cooed soccer for fear i would hurt a woman. it would take the fun out of it. volleyball and softball are fine. after i play a game of soccer i am truly spent, its a lot of effort, and its not a casual social beer game that i want women on the field with me. its a a perfectly reasonable thing to want to play single gender sports.
it certainly is my opinion. whether my logic is correct is based on political opinion. but there are other times, like in sports, when there is nothing to debate and there are actual statistics and objective reality.
What is objective reality? I've yet to meet a person seperated from their own view of the world that could explain it to me. Philisophical BS is what it is. If you don't want to throw at a girl then that is cool. She would not be at bat if she was scared of getting thrown at by a boy. At some point in life one realizes that they can't compete. They can't make the team or they don't want to go through the physicality involved. If you want to play in a single gender sport then you have an absolute right to do so. When you are playing in a league that allows a female then that is the league you are playing in. That is just the way it is. It is Reality, objective or not.
Well who knows what "their views" may one day be. "They" used to hold the "view" that a lay person should NEVER touch "the body of Christ" THEN went on to create "Eucharistic Ministers"? They view gambling to be wrong...unless, of course, it's for the "church bingo". So many.
I'm not a Catholic or church going, so I really don't give a shit, but in relation to this story, they got it right..
This ain't Dallas...and this ain't Dye nas tee. Likewise, that's your opinion...and that ain't Michigan. Good thing they didn't "get it right" in the story below. http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/headlines/2011/10/homecoming-queen-kicks-winning-field-goal/
not really. i can actually explain to you a very simple metric to measure whether a politician is good. but you would definitely disagree. however, i can explain to you why OPS+ and win shares and such are more relevant than batting average, or why completion percentage and QB rating are definitive ways to prove tebow sucks, and eventually you would see that i was correct. sports are simply easier to quantify. there are a few dudes and a field and the aspects of performance that lead to wins are far less controversial.
oh gosh, I am agreeing with Tiga, more and more these days...what is going on???? mental note...LSUpride and Martin are sexist. got it.
