Florida State played a Thursday night game on ESPN last season Of course they lost in a rainstorm at Louisville. They din't lose because the game was on Thursday. They lost because they didn't play well enough to win. Reasons why LSU should agree to play Arizona on Thursday: 1. It is an early season game. There are a lot of other good matchups that weekend so if the only way that game will be televised I'm for it. I wouldn't want to see LSU play on Thursdays later in the season. 2. Despite the fact that it leaves only 4 days between games LSU's first opponent is ULM so the Tigers should be pumped up for their first "real" game. 3. I feel for the people who would like to go to Tucson for the game who wouldn't be able to make it on Thursday but the fact is that not nearly as many Tiger fans will be able to make the long trip to Arizona even if it was on a Saturday. IF LSU was playing in Texas, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, ect a lot of fans would drive to the game and those who would fly there would pay a lot less for plane tickets 4. If playing on Thursday is the only way to get the game on TV it would give all of us who won't be going to the game an opportunity to watch it.
I'd rather listen to a win on Saturday night than watch a loss on Thursday. The 4 days between games bothers me a lot. I don't care who the previous opponent is. It's early in the season and there are a lot of young players out there. They need all the prep they can get.
I agree %100.....and I have had plans to go to the game, and it being on a thursday makes it virtually impossible.

I live in San Jose Cal. and was looking forward to maybe going to the game if it was on Saturday. But i want what is best for the LSU Tigers and i guess i will just have to get myself to Baton Rouge for a game. I graduated from Northeast Louisiana University and will be pulling for the Tigers when they play University of Louisiana Monroe. Been a Tiger Fan my whole life . I never pull against them no matter who they are playing. I pull for ULM any other time. Geaux Tigers
To me,it don't matter when they play,as long as they don't do what they did today.Man that was upseting.I finally get to watch a game and they lose it.I thought they would come back for a minute.
