From the looks of it now, Monday will have given the field plenty of time to dry and be more playable. I honestly think that the game might have been able to be played tomorrow night, but Monday is a great alternative.
This game could have vey easily been played today as scheduled. It would not have been the most favorable conditions, but it would be less rain a 6:30 tonight than there will be on Monday.
I know the last band that went thru about 10:30a had some pretty nasty wind and rain. Upwards of 60mph. We were still having gusts over 30 late into the afternoon. There is no way it would have been safe to fly in today. There was still some pretty major damage...trees down...power out...hell the 100 ft McDonalds sign in Walker is skewed at a 130 degree angle. Looks like it could fall any minute. But I'll be out there Monday afternoon...everyone behave now.
