How long would Phat Phil last at LSU with this record? 7 years since last SEC championship 2 SEC championships in the past 13 years No BCS bowl game in 6 years 1-4 against Tubberville Article
Re: How long would Phat Phil last at LSU with this record? He would last a good 3-4 years or so, but the fans would want him gone after the 1st, 1st down his team gave up, like with Miles
He would have been fired long ago at LSU but we demand excellence not a cond teir whinny baby who has been beaten on and overated the last 3 yrs
I agree. Especially given the fact that UTs recruiting class is usually ranked in the top 10. It amazes me how UT fans can't see the forest through the trees.
That article throws 'ole FFF right under the bus and that is quite a feat. FFF's rally cry: "There's always sumo wrestling ! " "Damn you Spurrier !!!!!"
in defense of phatty, how many sec coaches in recent history have more than two sec titles? how many have more bcs bowl appearances? how many have more than one NC? in the sec, if you are not in top 10 recruiting annually, you will not be competitive. UT has to play UGA, UF and Bama every year. my point is that its just not easy. i dont care what UT does with phil, but i dont think they should get rid of him unless they know they can get a great coach to replace him.
Just like Lloyd Carr and Michigan, the shine from that National Title for Phat Phil is just...about...gone. The Phat One is in danger. I give him one more year to get it straight...though the SEC East title last year did help a bit.
I am just curious... but is there something else behind this donut thing?! I know he is like fat, but I think more of hamburgers or something when I picture a heavy fella... I am just curious if there is more to the story than what I knew
