I know it's crazy after last nights stink fest, but it is possible to still make the playoff. It will require support for other teams that may be quite distasteful for most of us. I am basing this on current AP rankings, for which the CFP rankings should be similar. #1: we need to pull for ALA, Clemson, and ND to win out. If this happens, UGA will have lost their 2nd game late in the year in SECCG. #2: we need tOSU to lose, then beat Michigan at end of year, or Michigan to beat tOSU, then lose in their new CCG. #3: we need OU, WV to lose late. They play each other next week, and then may play each other in their CCG, so someone is dropping. #4: LSU needs to win out, and win reasonably convincingly. We should nudge up the rankings as teams ahead of us lose. I mean, none of that is that far-fetched, IMO. In NOV-DEC, a lot can happen, and we can find ourselves just out of top 4 going into CCGs. It could happen.....there is a chance.
My scenario is simpler, giant sinkhole swallows T-town during Iron Bowl. Takes Gumps/Barners and all their paying fans/boosters in one shot.
