None of us read anything last year about JR's and MF's ability to read defenses, learn the system, and who was ahead of the other in those area's that had any validity at all as Saban never said it once and Jimbo didn't talk to anybody. It was all speculation by outsiders. No one can quote a coach saying anything definitive about these subjects.

Pretty much all we heard from Saban is that all of the QB's tended to hold on to the ball to long, that they needed to pick up the speed of the game better, they needed to manage the game better, that the game had come too easily to JR in high school and he is now (at that time) realizing that things are much different on this level and he needs to learn a lot more, that Flynn had an arm injury and fell behind the other 2 QB's in fall camp and never really had an opportunity to catch up. You guys can add anything I may have missed.

I have seen very, very few posts that write Flynn off, if any at all.
