1. I agree.

I think there will be a few new wrinkles (like the use of Peterson in the passing game), but nothing gimmicky or tricky except for that 1 time we really need it.
  2. Is JJ throwing a little more considered a trick? I think we will see some of that.
  3. Great post, I agree!
  4. THIS!

Rw, methinks you've done it again! Few words, but the gist of the entire conflict! I think you've got this one pegged w/o resorting to a +/- of every position on the field.

  5. What about da' lamentations of da' wemen

  6. I have been long speculating what trick plays may show up in the Alabama game. In fact, I've pondered the subject since the very first game. At the
LSU vs. Tennessee game I happened upon some inside information about a trick play that LSU will more than likely use during the Alabama game. One of LSU's most notable players stated that "the fix is" regarding this certain trick play. It's nothing that's mind blowing. It should still absolutely shock many though, especially if they're not highly familiar with LSU's players and their past playing histories. Hopefully if they use the play it will go for a touch down. I was going to post a new thread regarding this. I just didn't want to detail the whole story. I just happened to have two extremely insightful people sitting directly behind me at the game. We chatted throughout the game. It's something I'm really looking forward to watching for in the Alabama game. Also, I'm obviously not stating that I have guaranteed foreknowledge that LSU will definitely run this play. That would of course impossible. The player implied that if they needed it, that it would be used.

Surely the utilization of such a play would be dependent upon the need. Still, it seems like it would work better when they weren't expecting it. Can't wait for the game. It's too long of a wait.
  7. So what I'm reading is that everyone expects CLM to out-coach Nick through some sort of trickeration. My take is that Les has already out-coached Nick for this game. Saban will be so caught up in trying to prepare his players for whatever gadget is coming up in a big situation, that they'll be thinking too much and not reacting to what they see. What they will see is LSU doing what it has done all year, pounding the rock straight down the opponent's throats. Nothing cute, nothing fancy, just line up and beat you down.
  8. Well pound the rock then maybe a little flea ficker at the right time? Hand off to Ware back to JL or JJ then down the field to RR or OBJ for the TD that breaks gump backs. By the 3rd qtr Bama safetys & LBs will be so sucked up to the LOS to stop the run the deep middle will be wide open. Then Nicky's head explodes. :geaux:
  9. Shep throws TD pass to JJ. Book it.
  10. Has Shep been with us 4 years now and has never thrown a pass as an LSU Tiger?

That would be a pleasant surprise.

Hey BTW - I agree with all the posts that LSU just needs to show up and "play OUR game." That's worked all year and we don't need to stray.

    BUT - 2 quick questions

What was the score when LES CALLED THE JUMP PASS against FL? Seems to me we had that game pretty well in hand, but then Les pulled out the trickeration. I personally will always believe that it was a PAYBACK CALL against his old Nemesis ( The Gaytor Nation).

    Second question:

Who has Les Miles ever publicly stated that we have a RIVALRY WITH?

If I remember correctly, he salted it with a few expletives when referring to our +^^%#&! Rivalry.

My biggest hope now is that we get a big lead playing our game plan that has been working all year and THEN PULL OUT THE TICKERATION just like we did against FL.

    GEAUX!
