My first game was 1975 (7 years old). My mom and dad took me. All I remember was sitting in the upper section. The guy above us got into a fight with the guy above him and next thing we knew the guy from the top was flying over us landing on the people below. Hooked ever since.

I guess @33-34 years, when I was born and growing up my Uncle coached with Charlie Mac till the day he retired. I was lucky to grow up so close to the team and stuff, it was just second nature to be a tiger fan for me. :)

I guess I am going on 40-plus years now. I was first concious of LSU football probably around 1960-61. My dad was an LSU graduate and he always followed the Tigers on radio or the occasional TV game back then. My first memories of LSU football was sitting with my dad in our living room and watching the weekly LSU highlight show - which was far different than what is available today. Back then it consisted of a review of black and white film shot from atop the LSU pressbox. One camera. Nothing from ground level. No special segments, no player features, just that old film with someone (probably John Ferguson) narrating it. I think the show began and ended with a black and white still shot of an LSU cheerleader in a sweater with an "L" on the front, maybe the words "LSU FOOTBALL HIGHLIGHTS" across the screen and a recording of the band playing "Touchdown for LSU."

But that was enough. LSU football has had its claws in me ever since.

I remember being not more then 3 years old and riding on my Dad's shoulder walking to the stadium im the pouring rain. My mom is trying to tell my father to put me down and for us to go home because of the weather. All I remeber is Dad saying it will be OK "It never rains in Tiger Stadium!!!" We went to that game and it did stop raining...

Well my Dad is an alumni of LSU and I can remember being five and loving LSU and wanting to be a golden girl all of my life. So I always cheered for them even in the lean years. I never abandoned them. So, in 1993 I graduated from the University (LSU)that I had to do go to and now I am an alumnus as well. So, if you count from 5 until now that would make it 32 years I have been cheering for LSU.

I've been going to Tiger stadium since I was 6. So make it 35 years for me. The last 18 flying in from the West Coast.

My first exposure to Tiger sports was the 1958 Duke game. "Give the ball to Scooter(Purvis)" was the cry of the day. I remember Billy Cannon, Johnny Robinson, Red Brodnax and Scooter running roughshod over the Blue Devils.
My next exposure to Tiger sports was in the early 60's and going with my dad to take the basketball and baseball teams to NO to play Toolame or Loyola or to Starkville and Oxford and being batboy or ballboy, sitting in the dugout or on the bench.
From 1964 to 1978 I worked in Tiger Stadium selling hotdogs and peanuts or ran a stand. How many great games I was blessed to witness, exhilirating wins and heartbreaking losses.
Then I moved here to Okiehomer but like I tell people all the time, "You can take the Coonass out of La. but you can never take the La. out of the Coonass!"
Since moving away I have had the good fortune to make it to several games but as a long distance truck driver for 25 yrs. and vacationing around the world, I can tell you there are no other fans like Tiger fans anywhere. Tiger fans are everywhere and LSU is recognized all over and NOBODY has the coverage of sports like LSU does. And it only keeps getting better and better!
