Wow, he has great pocket awareness, a cannon, he is accurate, and can run zone read, escapability is off the charts too, and he continues to look upfield. Can we sign this fucker already.

Sounds like he would be good at keeping Brandon Harris company on the bench

If history is an indicator, it has no effect whatsoever.

At one time not to very long ago Louisiana produced as many top notch QB's as just about any state. We were right up their with California & Pennsylvania. For one NFL season there approximately 9 starting QB's from here and a few more were backups.

Then most of the high schools started running wishbone & veer attacks which destroyed the QB position for a few years. Then when schools like Evangel started to chuck the ball around again we saw some good drop back passers develope.

Then most of the teams started using some version of the spread with an athlete at qb which has lead to what we have now.

So true, years ago, the best athlete on the team played QB, now, look at the top 20 players in the state of La. Too many are playing other positions, WR, DB, etc. Remember, Bobby Hebert was a very good DB, but an injury moved him into the QB position.

Trivia: Name the coach, who won three championship rings on the collegiate and professional levels. Hint, he coached Duck Man Phil Robertson and recruited Terry Bradshaw. Another hint, he was also a high school classmate of Janis Joplin. Small world.

Apparently it has no impact whatsoever for recruits. It drives fans insane, but recruits don't seem to care as much. In fact, it almost seems like they ... *gasp* ... support their teammate.

It's like a crazy dream or something...

Don't know if it was luck, being in the right place at the right time, or a combination of both (that's what I think) he did go on to a pretty successful career coaching and off the field work.
Any of your coaching contacts ever work for him?
