Normally New Orleans looses some revenue when LSU plays in the Sugar as we tend to not fill up as many hotels as most are within driving distance but from all indications that wasn't the case and evidentally hotels all over the southern part of the state were way above their occupancy rates for this one. And of course the Quarter was pretty much filled to capacity for 5 straight days. Many LSU fans that didn't have tickets and who live out of state came in for the festivities and that helped tremendously. A firend of mind who is on the hospitality board said that this was the best and biggest ever and it helped out quite a bit by the game not being till the 4th, adding 3 days off revenue that they just normally don't have.
