Is there a reason why there isn't any discussion?

I don't want to talk about a "probable strong Category 4" aimed right at my house. Preparing to likely evac tomorrow.

I doubt that discussing it is going to influence where it's headed. Be safe.

Have to attend an emergency briefing this morning, but then we are likely headed for our son's house in Lafayette. Will still get storm there, but much less than what's coming this way.

I just got an email from my brother in a suburb of New Orleans. They were going to evacuate to his wife's sister in North Texas, but decided to stay put. He said traffic is bumper to bumper and gas can't be found.

Someone explain something to me like I’m a 2 year old .
How did Morgan City - God bless em but not exactly Manhattan NY - land a fricking fortress that’s practically Hurricane proof while Nola didn’t get a decent levee system until Katrina?? No dog in the hunt just curious .

The “fortress “ is the levee for the Atchafalaya spillway. It’s to protect it when the Morganza locks are opened to prevent the Mississippi from flooding New Orleans. Ironic isn’t it?
