Even piles of sh!t can produce things of beauty on occasion, but when you really look at them in the end they are still piles of sh!t.

If you wouldn't want Carroll you are a moron IMo. The guy never said anything he shouldn't have said last year. He protected his team and the team loves the guy as much as the Tigers lover Saban.

I don't really care what his players think about him. Florida players loved Zook, but would you want him?

Carroll is a whiney little brat, and actually I think he said a lot of stuff that he shouldn't have said. Go back and read some of his quotes from last year and tell me you honestly think Saban would've said the same things. No freaking way. Saban had way too much class to whine and bicker, and if that's what you respect, then I'm not the one who's a moron.

I'm all for equal rights, but if this is all women have to offer, maybe they shouldn't post. :D (just kidding)

Even if we wanted him, mentioning Carroll for the job is not realistic. He has the AP in his hip pocket in La-La-Land and will not go anywhere except (MAYBE) back to the pros.

Bubbafong, your signature is correct as it applies to college and high school athletics, but booing is completely acceptable for professional athletes who make millions of dollars yet fail to give 110% effort on the field - like the Saints earlier in the year. (I'll be the first to admit that their level of effort has increased dramatically over the last few weeks.)

Shear enrollment numbers would tell you LSU has more funds available for any given expenditure. Auburn has approx. 23,000 enrollment.

Just clearing the financial thing up for you.

Ok let's not mix academic finds with athletic funds. Two separate things.

I love LSU football but I'll be damned if I'd ever support any money generated by academics supporting the athletic department.

true but those students generate ticket sales, and they continue to support LSu once they graduate, it all goes hand in hand.

Oui oui. My signature was directed toward the pathetic "fans" that were booing poor Marcus Randall during the Oregon State game back in September, and I've just never bothered to change it. Some of the boo-birds were on here in the days following the game trying to make excuses, and it was just sad. I still can't believe Randall was ever treated like that by Tiger fans. Dude isn't the best QB LSU's ever had, but he has heart, and freakin laid it on the field this year. I really hope he'll be remembered more for the Florida and Arkansas games this year than his struggles. Well, those and the Bluegrass Miracle of course. And to all those who wanted to give up on him after that first game, to all those who got on here and said he couldn't play QB and never could, I hate to point out that his stats are still superior to Russell's. However, that's not what this thread is about, so I'll shut up.

But you're right, it's a little more excusable when you're talking about pro players who just aren't playing like they care.

I read all of his quotes over and over agian and he never once said anything wrong. You find one that was wrong and post it, I'm not going to post all of the things he said right. Go ahead, find the quotes that were so bad. You won't find them. And I couldn't really give a darn what he said anyway, I would would want him to be our coach. I doubt he will ever test the NFL waters again. USC is lucky they have him.
