In 2007, we backed into the BCS title game. Now we had a dominant team that year, but we did back into the championship game.
2007 was dominant? That team went 10-2 in the regular season. This team has a shot, a legit shot too, at going 10-2 in the regular season. Just sayin....
BS. If there was a better team in the country, they would have been in the game instead. We were the best 2-loss team in the country and proved it by beating the #1 team in the national championship game. Upfront. Not backing in.
Yep, regardless of what got us there, we beat hands down the #1 team in the country. That isn't backing into one of these :crystal:, thats proving beyond a shadow of a doubt who is the better team.
We lost to 2 teams we shouldn't have and did not control our own destiny. Two teams luckily lost ahead of us and we got back in. We backed in. Don't misunderstand me though. We were clearly the best team in the country.
I disagree. There were several teams that year that had a shot- WVU, Missouri, but they all backed out. We were the best team in 2007.
All the other contenders lost to two teams they shouldn't have, too. Ours were both triple-overtime, one-score losses to SEC teams. Just because some others lost later in the season is meaningless to our own accomplishment.
