“I won’t say we just relaxed,” Beckwith said. “We kind of let our guard down a little bit against Kentucky.” http://www.2theadvocate.com/sports/10570916.html?index=35&c=y When you are competing for a MNC :crystal:, and you are #1, how do you do this? :dis: I somewhat could understand this with Tulane, with UF approaching, but here's to hoping that the players are just that focused for AU!! :geauxtige
Let's all breathe into our paper bags now. Inhale. Exhale. Good. Red's right, by the way. Not to mention that this has been a long, emotional stretch without a bye.
They are humans, not robots. Who in life is "on" every single day? If it could be accomplished by flipping a switch, they would have flipped it. Reminds me of a friend who was a lineman (electrical). Playing golf one day, he said "if I was working today I'd be electrocuted".
I think it is more of a cop out. They don't want to admit that they got out played and hustled by UK because they wanted it. Sure we can lay a lot of blame on some of the defensive players, but I think I would blame Pelini more than anybody. It was defense that would allow the QB to throw and with a pitch and catch team they will pick you apart, easily. No schemes were ran to try and disrupt the timing of the QB.
