    No. This may sound cruel, but go without him and let him know it. Do that a few times until he wants to go. Then go without him again one more time. Then bring him. When it is their idea, they are less likely to get bored. Then bring him to catch perch in a local pond, not on a boat in the Gulf.

    I think this is why I am the only one of my brothers that likes fishing, because my old man went with my grandpa when I was too young to go. He brought my brothers, and they never really late he'd onto it.
