Miles will always be a run first coach and that's just fine. He just needs to develop the ability to pass and the willingness to be a little more balanced.

I don't mind a 3 yards and a cloud of dust philosophy when the match up calls for it and when it's working. But you need at least a semblance of a passing game to keep the defense honest. Sometimes you face an opponent that can stuff the run and you have to be able to pass. That's what makes our offense so frustrating to watch. Miles can't or won't adjust to the situation and defense.

the fact the bar is set so low on our passing game has rendered lsu fans expectations to nil, simply wanting a forward pass completion 10 times a game. we need to lose that mindset. it doesnt take much to find a matt flynn game manager who can make plays late. you need someone to do this because running all the time will keep you close even against lesser teams. theres no reason we shouldnt be able to blow lesser teams out with a good passing attack which will then open the run game. though i was elated to see LF's game speed for once. then twice. I wonder where thats been all year. but it was a ND defense who has sucked all season.
