1. Canada made Bama defend the entire field, or at least the width of it. They couldn't stack eight on the line knowing we were going to run vertically and challenge the strength of their defense. If the offense had just hit on a few of the opportunities this presented the outcome could have been different.
  2. And thats the bottom line.......
  3. Matt Flynn would disagree, but you're right about a lot of them.
  4. That's the thin though. Where does LSU find a playmaker at qb? It's not like they grow on trees, especially with their arms. Now with their legs they tend to grow on trees a little bit more. So what do you do?
  5. Plant your own tree?

  6. I find it odd how so many other schools can run good QB's out there but we can't. This isn't new for us. We've been failing at QB since 2008, with the exception of the 2 years we had Mett.

Matt Canada needs to stick around long enough to develop Brennan or Narcisse or even a signee into an effective QB... or run a system that that fits what we have.... which is what he's doing now.

  7. Need a good qb coach and evaluator. Might actually have that in Canada; hell, Emsminger seemed to do a good job with Etling.
  8. Have to do this. There arent that many great QBs. Fromm at UGA will be a great QB but he is so limited due to his youth, but UGA gives him a million easy throws. Bama won a NC with Jake Coker, who is maybe Etling's equal, but Kiffin gave him easy throws. Those throws then open up the running game.

For some reason we have made it as hard on a QB as we can, but it looks like that is changing.

  9. They also had a healthy and experienced Oline. I think this and Etling's limitations is where we are hamstrung at the moment. We are improving though.
  10. Coker was actually more mobile. He could really hurt you with his legs.
