Fair assessment of what's coming. I would add for me, home field and experience.

On the head coaching deal, just this. Any team coming off a NC with heavy graduation in the SEC and they get a mulligan. Hard enough to repeat if one and all are able to make it back. (see 2009 Florida)

Technically, "nod" is an advantage. Given the similar talent on both squads, maybe the best they can do. "They" whoever "they" are is also the same folks that have LSU ranked #1 in all the polls, including BCS.

You guys unlike LSU in 08 brought your core back in 10 with your senior QB

you lost 3 guys 1st round to the NFL and your senior QB

we beat that bunch and now you want me to think this bunch is better with a never been in a big game or seen the D he will see from LSU before in your baby QB

I am not buying and if I am a Bama fan I would have much to worry about

I remember slowing down the great Bama rush last year

I remember putting up 380 yards of O on you guys in the 2nd half last year also

Tusk it's going to be a good one !!!!

Curious...what's Bama's record at home against LSU in the last, oh say, 15 attempts? How 'bout the last 5?

Won't disagree...see also LSU 2008. But I didn't see anyone giving Miles a mulligan, even after losing his star QB, and having to start a freshman who wasn't NEARLY ready. (don't worry...he's plenty ready now )

Just read Cliff's post. He's right...you guys returned Julio, GMac, Ingram, Trent, Barron, Upshaw, and more. What are you talking about?? Technically, you had better talent LAST season.

But you didn't have a focused team. That's on coaching. tsk tsk.

FWIW, I fully expect your team to be more focused this year. Thing is, we're a far better team this year than last. I think even you'd acknowledge that fact.

I can personally remember watching Bert Jones and Scott Hunter in their day, but it's difficult to equate that to on field success this year.

Miles had his mulligan and a gigantic check from super grateful alumni. Where he nearly blew it, was trying to rearrange his legacy with poor coordinator choices and reinventing an offensive philosophy that he was less than whole-souled about. For my money, Chavis has been most valuable player for the last two seasons.

So what is Bama's record the last few years playing at home against LSU? You mentioned home field advantage...back it up. Show me something to make that a valid argument. Piss or get off the pot, bro. Come on.

FWIW, I'm sure you know the record lately. It ain't good for you guys. That has NOTHING to do with the outcome of this game, but I'm just laughing at all the talking heads (and Bama fans) claiming an advantage because of home field.

Cliff is the man with the plan, but my point was dealing with a loss of 9 defensive starters, as well as the after buzz that subconsciously works on your issues of entitlement. We were suffering from a rose bowl hangover that officially wore off during pregame of the Michigan State contest.

I don't believe any game Bama or LSU played last year has any bearing on Saturday's contest, in spirit or talent.

You're wise to avoid the home field advantage question...;)
