I have met a number of American born Vietnamese who have American first names. Don't know about their parents but they are fully assimilated.
I have seen the employees of Chinese restaurants eating white rice lots of times. Never stir-fried. I thought it was because the Chinese are cheap and thats all the restaurant owner would let them eat.
The Asian discipline thing runs deep which coincides with work ethic. Not the most creative so they steal our ideas and replicate them. That's why the greatest amalgamation of races and cultures which is the United States is superior to others.
I dont buy them either. Even if I buy the prepackaged tails that say "Louisiana Crawfish" I make sure. Often times the fine print says China. It stays in the cooler.
I see them all the time. Package will say packed in Breaux Bridge or somewhere but they were imported from China.
