No, but those games were schedule before the AD made his announcement. If you read any of the nd boards, uhnd.com, ndnation.com, there was a discussion about this back in the Fall. Their AD has made it clear that the killer schedules ND has done in the past and still have to go through will be over. Some ND fans think of it as part of the conspiracy to ease them into the big ten. After 2010 if ND is still independent they will start scheduling more patsies. They already have Nevada in 2010 and San Diego State in 2009. Their schedule in 2011 has Michigan, Michigan State, Purdue, Navy, Pitt, So Cal, BC, and BYU for eight harder games. Supposedly the other 3 or 4 will be easier and more like Nevada and SDSU. http://www.geocities.com/mike-nd/sched-f.htm
I'm waking up this sleeping thread to list three interesting teams still in search of a non-conference opponent in 2005: -Louisville (Big East) -NC State (ACC) -Virginia (ACC) Here's an interesting interegional matchup: Texas faces Ohio St. in Columbus on Sept. 10.
HMMMMMN. I see ND backing out on us (Why not, everyone else has). I think Louisville or NC state would be a great OOC game. IMO we need to schedule more BCS opponents and less non-BCS opponents.
OSU has OU on 11/5. How about getting Marshall back her for the butt-kicking they weasled out on last time?
According to LSUSports.net, LSU has open dates on 9/17 and 10/29 of 2005. There should be some quality OOC opponents looking for a game on one of those two dates. http://www.lsusports.net/fb/fbschedule.cfm?groupcode=2005&title=2005%20LSU%20Football%20Schedule
Yeah, buddy No boutadoubtit ... let's schedule a tune-up game that week ... LSU's proven our point with a tough enough schedule already ... If you disagree, just look at any of the other "Preseason Top 3" schedules ... USC in particular :hihi: It should be an LSU vs. USC Rose Bowl ... Oh yeah, baby ... with a vicious and experienced dee and Nick having a month to prepare for the game ... deeeeeeeeeeeelicious Santa ... all want for next X-mas is ... :champs:
