Well, looking at things objectively, any of us could have called plays for LSU last year, and we couldn't have done much of a worse job. There was not a lot of room to get worse.
I may be 'misremembering' this, but I believe Mike Archer was on Arnsparger's staff and then became HC. Of course, we all know how that one worked out.
actually you aren't, good call man. You know what's funny. Arsparger left to become Florida's AD, and probably had alot to do with LSU hiring Mike Archer to replace him. Here's another conspiracy theory for you.
Archer was Arnsbarger's defensive coordinator, and I believe Cholly Mac was on Dietzel's staff. Edit: sorry, didn't read far enough down to see the Archer comment had already been made.
technically we had no timeouts in the last minute of play (remember we called our last timeout AFTER we just incurred a delay of game penalty, which is mind boggling and would have been the subject of ridicule had it not been overshadowed by something so much worse a minute and a half later) just make sure you give your QB more than one play to go in with when you're running the ball with less than 40 seconds left and no timeouts...that's all I ask
Mike Archer and Mac. Archer was DC under Bill Arnsparger and Mac was the DC under Paul Dietzel. B Moore was an asst coach under B Jones.
